Today, I corrected my mom in front of our family while she was ragging on my 12 year old cousin who got a piercing. She said, "You don't understand you don't have kids, but on the other hand you probably never will!" I have Polycystic ovary syndrome, she is right, I probably never will. FML

Today, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and confided in my mom, after being told I would have trouble having kids. Five minutes later, I hear the whole family laughing about it downstairs. FML

Today, I told my mom I was thinking of having a baby. She told me it was a huge mistake because children cost a fortune, make you miserable, and if she'd had her chance again she would have gotten her tubes tied when she was 18 and saved herself the grief. Gee, thanks mom. FML

Today, my mom had to go off on my grandmother because I don’t have kids yet and she, "wants great grand babies before she dies." My grandmother was going to gift me a baby outfit for me to get another hint. I’m 25 and can’t conceive because of health issues. I may never have my own kids. She knows. FML

Today, my mom asked me out of the blue if I was ever going to consider getting married. It wasn't until after the conversation ended that I remembered my siblings are all either single like I am, or incapable of having children. I am my mother's last hope of becoming a grandma, and she reminds me all the time. FML

I have PCOS, but my gyno put me on birth control to keep my hormone levels in check so it won't be so difficult to have children when I decide to. Go see a OB-GYN and see what they can do for you. I know other people with the condition who have been able to get pregnant and carry to term. And if that doesn't work out, you could always adopt.

i have PCOS too, don't worry, you still can have a baby. my daughter is 8mos old and i was told i'd never be able to get pregnant naturally, 2 months after stopping birth control i got pregnant, and we weren't even trying! and even if it doesn't happen naturally you can always get invitro. kate of jon&kate+8 has PCOS too and look how many she has!

No thats not true, my mother has polysistic ovary syndrome and she had three healthy kids, one on accident (me), while she did have trouble conceiving her first child but dont give up hope just because a doctor says stuff to get you down

PCOS is treatable and you most certainly have a great chance of having children with proper treatment and an experience doc. Good luck to you when the time comes!
