You can still have kids! My mum has it and so does her sister but both of them managed to have kids! *points at self*
Low, low blow! I find myself hating your mother. To whip out such a spiteful insult in any situation, much less such a petty one, is just vicious. I don't know much about PCOS, but from the previous comments on this FML, you may still have a chance at getting pregnant. And if not, adoption is a lovely thing. :] Being a great, understanding mother would totally stick it to your mother in a positive way.
Just so you know, PCOS often causes infertility if it's not treated. But when PCOS is treated properly, many women with the condition have perfectly healthy babies. It's up to you to decide whether to mope about it or just man up and realize you can't expect people to treat you like you're on your death bed if you aren't even dying.
Dont loose any hope...if u take care of ur pcos and treat it properly you can have a healthy baby...
Having a little empathy does not mean treating her on like shes on her death bed.. She didnt act like she was dying, but to hear such a low, caustic blow from your own mother... damn. If you wanted to teach your child not to correct you in front of other people, there are other ways to do it, privately, and with a little bit of compassion. There was NO need to use the OP's condition to belittle her. This "mother" is just a cold hearted disgusting ******* little ****. I have PCOS, and if my mother ever took a low blow and used my condition to hurt me, i would disown myself.
showing sympathy, not empathy. If the mom showed empathy that would means she couldn't have kids or had a hard time trying. She needs to show sympathy because she doesn't know what OP could be feeling.
My doctor thought I had PCOS too, and you can have children. It might not be instantly, but you can. It could be from different health problems, so if you take care of the health problems that can make PCOS worse, it should get a lot better. Youre mom is a bitch, I am sorry. My boyfriend didnt care much either.
wow, parenting fail.
