80 & 127- i think i get what you're saying. we live in an era where people expect to be able to be happy their whole lives, so when they get married and get disappointed, they think divorce is ok because they realize they'll be happy without that person. you're right to say that in an abusive relationship where nothing can be done about it, you need to divorce. and a couple needs to work out their problems, even if they fall out of love they still made that committment to each other. but this isn't a perfect world, in a perfect world people would still honor that committment... now people just need to do what will make them happy... and that's their right. sorry. i take it that you're married?

After an event like that, I guess I understand why you didn't go right ahead and leave her... However, if you really aren't into her, don't stay with her. Break up with her the nicest way you can, and hope that she understands. Yeah, she'll be mad that she got the tattoo, but you didn't hold a gun to her head and make her get it. If you're worried she'll hurt herself, tell one of her friends or family member.
