Today, I decided to clean my apartment from top to bottom. Once I was done, I looked over at my puppy, who then woke up, stretched, got out of his basket and started to pee. I shouted, "No!" Scared, he then ran all over the place, still peeing. FML

Actually OP might have preferred that over peeing because its easier to clean up. Also if its carpet the pee smell is hard to get rid of and the puppy will want to pee there again.

Pets and children will dirty anything up right after u clean it. It's a law of nature.

Well, what did you think was going to happen when you yelled at a puppy? Of course it was going to be scared. You deserve that.

This belongs on dogshaming.com ! Puppies are awesome , just like babies are awesome .... lots of training needed and lots of cleaning!

Her names shiva? like the final fantasy summon xD badass

I'm not surprised, to be honest. Being a puppy that seemingly lacks training, I doubt that it'd know what it was doing wrong. It may have been better to just correct it, but I also understand your frustration and instinct to yell at it. That's a rough one, OP. So it goes.

How do you know it lacks training? Have you ever tried housebreaking a puppy? It aint easy. I've had my pup in training since I got him at 10 weeks and he still has accidents and isn't always a perfect angel. Training is a lifelong commitment. It doesn't stop a month, a year, or two years in. You continue training them for life.

I have five dogs, and I am more than familiar with the processes of training them to keep from urinating in the house. While accidents do happen, I merely meant to say that it appears as though OP has yet to reach This point in their dog's training. You're right though. I'm making assumptions, and I tend to word things poorly. I'm sorry if any of what I said was displeasing or had been misinterpreted.

Thats because youre suppised to say no then immediately pick him up and take him to a designated elimination area. pupoies usually gobto the bathroom after a nap, play, and eating/drinking.

Well that's a minor problem not a massive one now to clean the carpet
