Today, I decided to sunbathe in my backyard in an attempt to be healthy. The result? Insect bites over my body. Somehow, despite being fully clothed the entire time, my scrotum also received several bites. FML

Sunbathing isn't really healthy. If you need vitamin D, you might as well just go on a walk, walk to the store, go biking or whatever. Sunbathing while laying still is actually quite 'dangerous' (sunburns etc).

Sunbathing to be healthy? That is like riding a segway instead of taking a car "to be healthy"

Sunbathing fully clothed.... That makes sense.

Lol at all the idiots... There is absolutely NOTHING inherently dangerous about sunbathing. As with everything, it is about MODERATION. TOO MUCH is dangerous, but that has nothing to do with sunbathing itself.

I think there's just a lot of misinformation about the sun and sunbathing. Of course the sun can be VERY damaging to your skin if you continually sunbathe and allow yourself to get burnt. A small amount of sun is actually healthy for your skin though and can allow your body to naturally produce vitamin D. Like you say, it's all about moderation. Getting some sun for a few minutes a day isn't inherently harmful. The amount of time someone can lay in the sun without burning (hence damaging the skin) will vary depending on location, time of day, previous sun exposure, and skin tone.

So were you sunbathing or not? As you can't do one fully dressed!

Those bites on your scrotum are probably chigger bites. I know your pain, those motherfuckers hurt

why were you attempting to sunbathe while fully clothed... why didn't u put on bug spray...u live in Florida so u really should be showering with deet

Sunbathing isn't healthy. Ever heard of skin cancer? Melanoma? Vitamin D you do gain from the sun, but there are better ways to get this.

Through the skin is actually the best way to get vitamin D. And although some vegetables have vitamin D there are some diseases that make eating these vegetables a crapshoot. Many are cruciferous vegetables which have been proven to make inflammatory diseases worse.

Sunbathing isn't healthy = Bull$#!t. Melanoma has an almost inverse relationship to sun exposure, as do most cancers. The sun is the best source of Vit. D we have. Stop buying into mainstream propaganda!!! Start with Mercola.com; he'll get you on the right path.

I looked at the website and couldn't stop laughing. It is filled with so much false information, and nothing based in actual science.
