Wow reading pages of shitty assholes rag on your parenting when all they've seen of you and you life is this one anecdote makes me say FYL. People need to grow up and realize parents mess up. Everyone does. Atleast it wasnt something so serious, the child was in no danger. everone that has a child or alot of interaction with children has messed up at somepoint, with leaving your son at the store or something serious like leaving your kid in the car on accident, worse; on purpose. So give the guy a break.

People trying to make excuses always change the wording to make it sound like an accident instead of a bad but consciously-chosen decision. Like the OP had intended to do something else and only inadvertently committed a crime (and involved their child in it). If you can't bring yourself to actually talk about what the OP did and have to alter the wording to make it sound more palatable, maybe your point is too weak to stand on its own.
