So then why did he bother with the test?
In TX speed limits and street signs are suggestions on private property. Move.
anybody else notice op said they drove to take their drivers test o.O
If the person has a drivers permit then they can drive to their own test as long as there is another licensed driver with them in the passenger seat. It's just like they're driving with a drivers permit on any other day.
OP, you deserve it. Plain and simple. I'm glad you still don't have a license. We don't need more people that don't pay attention to the signs on the road.
Oh, get over yourself. He was probably nervous about his road test, and even adults miss road signs sometimes. There are a lot of things to focus on when you're driving, especially if you're young. It's not rare to miss a street sign every once in a while. Besides, no one said he wasn't paying attention. He just missed it.
62, if you have troubles staying focused and alert on the road because "there are a lot of things to focus on" then you are not ready to drive yet. Yes, people make mistakes while driving and sometimes those mistakes come with great costs. You should not be driving if the road is too overwhelming for you. Driving is not your right. It's a privilege which you are supposed to learn by demonstrating knowing the road rules and your ability to drive safely.

#62- "Just missed it", it's times like that cause deaths. One person with their head up their rear end and "missing" a stop sign is what causes accidents and deaths. Driving is a PRIVILEGE, not a RIGHT (like spandex). I don't care if the OP was nervous, he/she got what they deserved. There is no excuse for what they did, ESPECIALLY when it was a one way street. Not to mention that if the person went to the nearest DMV, then they should have known the area and the streets that are One Way!
Honestly, I'm sorry but that's just plain hilarious and ironic.
Uh, what? You drove to your driving test. 6_6
Well, yeah. The instructor could've told the OP that he/she had already failed instead of wasting 45 minutes of his/her time. Doing something for almost an hour only for someone to tell you "You know that thing you were waiting for and did all this work to get? Yeah, you're not getting it." in the end would've pissed me off too.
well you know the test and now have one thing to remember....
One thing i got told before my test: follow road signs and markings over the instruction of the examiner (ie if a street says no right turn and you are asked to turm right and you do, then you broke a road rule). At the end of it all, you cant blame anyone but yourself if you fail.

That's one way to fail your driving test.
That's pretty important! Just remember that for next time.
