Learn to drive you fucktard.
I thought women were good at driving stick. They're usually good at anything if they involve sticks...
Bet you're from the states.
I'm from the states and I know how to drive stick. Do you have an issue?
No one in America calls it the states
Wow... Even when I was brand new at driving stick I never did anything like that. Yes, it's a bit difficult at first but if it was your FIRST TIME alone you shouldn't have been so damn cocky. I just want to know how in the hell you managed to hit the car NEXT to you, not in front of you? And being new at stick, you shouldn't have even been close enough to the person in FRONT of you to hit them. I think you need another parking lot practice run, hunnie.
dont u have to pass a test to drive a car by yurself in america cause in australia u gotta drive with a parent or fully licensed adult for a ridiculous amount of hours then do a test with the rta basicly the dmv except u have to do it on the road
In America you do have to practice with a licensed driver for like 25 hours before you can take the drivers test if you are under eighteen. If you are over eighteen when you take the drivers test for the first time though you don't always need the proof of driving practice. However, unlike other countries if a person is licensed to drive an automatic car they do not have to get a new license to drive manual. Also the OP said it was their first time driving their new manual car by themselves but that does not mean it is their first time driving a manual car in general.
Actually its 50 hours, I was part of the first group of people with that law...
Yeah it's the same in America, but in my state when I had my permit I needed a minimum of 50 hours and I got close to 200
stalling does not move the car far enough to hit anyone else. ydi for not knowing how to drive, and for making shit up
You're ridiculous. Have you not been reading? Depending on the car you drive, you CAN lurch forward when you stall. Especially if it's a particularly bad stall, ie. way too much gas, not enough clutch. I drive stick, and the first several times I stalled, I lurched forward. Don't be a douche simply for the sake of being a douche. Rudeness doesn't make people like you, or your lame comments.
@ #71, I believe #26 said the car doesn't lurch far enough forward to hit someone else. That is true. It also doesn't lurch your car SIDEWAYS into someone else's car. Use common sense!
Well considering she was clearly intending to race I am imagining she had it way revved up and dropped the clutch. In a FWD if she broke the tires loose it would have slid the front end sideways at which point she probably let off the gas, stalling it, but apparently not in time to avoid a collision. That is the only way I can picture this happening, although with RWD she could have slid her ass end into the car next to her as well.
@81, I never said anything about the damn car lurching sideways, did I? For all I know, that's made up. But yes, you can in fact lurch into someone's car. If you pull up too close to someone at a light, it happens. Stalling out can push your car anywhere from three inches to a couple feet. Don't be a bitch. Common sense can be outweighed by experience. I've driven stick, I've stalled, I've lurched forward. Get off my ass.
Hey, hard core chick.... do me??? but what i was gonna say is that u give it more gas to keep from stalling soo WAY too much would KEEP it from stallin.... it wouldnt be too good on the clutch or anything else but it wouldnt stall it.... i dont believe u drive a stick, but ill allow u to use mine for some practice...
What would have happened if you hadn't stalled? You would have plowed even harder into the other car right? Maybe it's a good thing you stalled......
That was my thought exactly since apparently their car was positions so that it could lurch forward into the person next to them.
positioned*
Damn disappearing, reappearing comments. That positioned* is a correction to one of my own comments.
YDI.
Keywords
YDI for not knowing how to drive a stick shift.
@4, have you ever stalled a car in gear? She prob popped the clutch without giving enugh gas which causes the car to launch forward and then stall fr not giving enough gas. So yes you can stall a car and lurch it forward, still though YDI for trying to race without practice.
