Shirty - Flustered and pompus, like you would be if someone asked you a question you find incredibly offensive. Happens a lot with teachers and snobby upperclassmen. Another British bit of fun. Used in "Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging" and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire". See snogging. Example: I asked Mrs. Wenger if she was PMSing, and she got all shirty with me.

And by sewer, you meant sanitary sewer. And by sanitary sewer, you meant you fell in a stew of piss and shit and other ablutions. And by piss and shit, you mean disease-carrying human waste. And by disease, you mean cholera. And by cholera, you mean you will have runny diarrhea. Which you will fall into tomorrow as you fall in the same "hole" again.

Not necessarily. How smelly a sewer is depends on a lot of things: temperature, recent rainfall, how far it is from the treatment plant, population density, etc. My area has an extensive sewage network and fairly small population density so even when they're left open they never really stink even when it's super hot out.
