There are worse things you could be. Autistic people tend to be smart, sometimes very smart! Just think, you could be dumb, or mean, or bad at ping pong.
Being autistic isn't a bad thing, OP. It just means you learn differently and/or need a little extra time/help with things. Trust me, I know. Find out how they can help you best, then tell them. If they refuse to give you the help you need, then you might as well look for a job where they WILL.
Being autistic is nothing to be ashamed of, i've worked with at least 6 folks who were and they are the sweetest and smartest people. I'm always jealous too because they learn quickly and are hella smart at what they're passionate about. Keep going, dont feel down, and set your goals high, i have faith in you :)
Wish I could take that test! I've been trying to for years. I know I'm autistic.. I want to understand myself :/
There are online tests that could give you an idea - not a definite diagnosis, but they could give you an idea whether autism is something to look into.
I'm autistic and I find this offensive >:(
I love how these people praise autistic kids as if they are angels when there are some that take advantage of their autism and use it selfishly, like being able to cuss out multiple teachers multiple times and get away with it without so much as an apology. For christ's sakes if you want them to be treated normally then don't hesitate to give a punishment if they do something like that on purpose.
As Mad-eye said, "The problem is, how can you tell?"
Aaw, I'm sorry op. I have mild autism too, and sometimes it's tough. But you're gonna be okay and make it through this!

That's nothing to be ashamed of,OP! You're still clearly very intelligent. :-) I'm sure you will do great with more training/practice. Don't give up!
You're not wrong, but there are usually signs as a child that a parent notices and goes to a doctor for. Unfortunately you aren't born with mental or physical diseases you have printed on your chest. OP may be very low on the spectrum, meaning he's high functioning and displaying few signs, and his parent dismissed them as "quirks".
