Today, I finally got to surprise my boyfriend with a birthday cake. I spent four days planning the perfect one. First thing he says? "Erm, you know I'm 32, right?" I got his age wrong. FML

Today, it was my boyfriend's 24th birthday. His friends were throwing him a surprise party and I was in charge of getting his birthday cake. As a joke, I got it in the shape of a penis, with a graphic marzipan design. Funny, I never knew his overly-conservative parents were invited. FML

Today, I meant to surprise my boyfriend by baking him a cake. When I took it out of the oven, I realized I had accidentally used salt instead of sugar. He tried to eat it anyway, and ended up spitting chunks of it out all over me. FML

Forgetting your parents' ages is not the same as forgetting the age of a significant other. Age may not matter, but the little things do, and sometimes, that's remembering age. The cake is a nice gesture, so the flub should be forgotten.

Don't worry about it op! My boyfriend is constantly forgetting my age. He just remembers that I'm a few years younger than him, and guesses wrong all the time. We laugh about it. Hopefully you and your man can laugh about it too. :)
