Playing advocate of the devil here, but maube the guy isn't trying to screw OP over. It's possible that some other person found the wallet first and took out the 400 dollars. In this case he's an idiot for thinking the thief of his money would return the wallet, though. And if this isn't the case, then this person disgusts me. When someone goes out of their way to help you ou should be thankful, don't try to squeeze some money out of them.
Yeah, that is the smartest thing to do when you find a wallet.
Are you in alb?
FMl. The owner should be grateful, but shouldn't you have turned the wallet to the police first?
Why was my comment thumbed down? It is true. Most police departments won't use a lie test over this issue..
Lol he cant lay any charges even if he wanted to. There's no proof that the op took any money even if he did. There's no case simple as that, op shouldn't worry. And they wouldn't use a lie detector test for a mere $400.00 that's just silly.
Well did you take the money?
Jeez, people just can't appreciate peoples niceness anymore can they? Always have to take advantage. Don't give him the 400 dollars I highly doubt there was money in it to begin with!
