Today, I found a wallet containing an ID card. I managed to track down the owner, who now is threatening to call the police if I don't return the 400 dollars that he insists were also in it. FML

Today, I found a wallet on the train. I called the owner, who said he would come around and pick it up. When he finally did, he looked inside and screamed that his money was missing, and that I was a dirty thief. I never took a cent. He's filing theft charges against me. FML

Today, I had gone to the store and bought a new wallet. 5 minutes later a security guard asks for my receipt. Turns out I had dropped my receipt. Some guy had picked it up and pretended I had stole his wallet. The guard confiscated my wallet because the guy had "his" receipt to prove it. FML

Today, I found a wallet belonging to some guy, it had $355 inside. Because he had his address written inside, I decided to return it, hoping for a reward. I drove for 40 minutes and finally got to his house during peak hour. All he did was say, "Oh, cool." FML

Today, while at the mall, a lady dropped her credit card while in line to buy something. I came over, picked it up and gave it to her just for her to shove it in my hand and scream, "She's stealing my wallet! My wallet!" The police came. FML

Today, I found out that someone found my lost library card, and instead of returning it, took out multiple items. If they don't return them, I'm on the hook to paying over $100 for them. FML

Today, I lost my wallet while out shopping. Panicked, I retraced my steps and found it at a store, turned in by an employee. Grateful, I opened it to find a note that read, "We left the money but took one dollar for karma." I checked. They did actually take one dollar. FML

Today, I misplaced my wallet. Fortunately, I knew exactly where it was. Unfortunately, I had just taken out the only form of picture ID that morning. I couldn't stop the finders from laughing as they saw my fake celebrity entertainment ID while I tried to convince them it was actually my wallet. FML

I'm a cop - legally he can't do anything. Once the police explain that to him, wait for them to leave and tell the guy you now need to go buy a 400 dollar tv just to mess with him

Well I'm assuming he honestly lost it or whoever posted this is lying. I have a problem with the guy assuming the person returning his wallet automatically stole the money. You lose your wallet be thankful you get ANYTHING back - I work in NYC and can tell you this much: you lose your wallet your not getting shit back

Well I don't know where your from and frankly I'm not impressed. I think your over thinking this. You need to be a real d-bag to blindly accuse someone of a crime when they are just trying to help out. Being a cop I see the lows even good people can sink to when they're pissed off. You always have a choice and for this guy to accuse the guy who posted this seems like the misplaced anger of a baby. And a piece of advice - if you go through life afraid of retribution pack it in now.

Put some drugs in the wallet, somewhere he wouldn't look in! Give him the wallet without the cash. Let him call the cops and watch as he gets busted! P.s. wash all fingerprints and wear gloves, assholes like that deserve more than jail!
