I don't.... I don't get it. how could you mistake it for your cat? or maybe I'm just bizarre? cause I can always tell the difference between my cat and a random one. haha! still, it must've been horrifying to think that your cat was run over!
Maybe this is proof that cats have nine lives! Sorry, that was horrible.
That happened to my family once. We often had several cats. We spotted a dead cat (my mom refused to let us raise indoor-only cats) in the street that had similar markings to one of ours, so we assumed she was dead. As we went outside a bit later, our cat ran up. Since it wasn't our cat, we called animal control to pick it up.
