No, your dad is still your dad. Your uncle is your biological father. The man who raises you deserves the honorable title of "Dad" whereas any swinging dick can be a father. To clear things up further, your mom is a *****.

At least they told you and you didn't find out through paperwork or some other means.

Not necessarily. OP could have found out through blood tests, paperwork, or even a simple biology lab (like in Switched at Birth).

Ok, I hope they told Op and didn't let it be discovered through other means.

It occurred to me now that you basically saud what I said just different. I apologize if that came off bitchy. I was at work anf reading in a hurry. My bad...

No.. dammit. Apparently work is not a valid excuse because I am typing worth shit today. I will now bury my head and shut up. haha.

Personally, it did come off as kinda bitchy. But its FML, so I am not going to take it personally or let it rule my life. Don't sweat it. But thank you for apologizing, I appreciate it.

Wow, OP. Not really sure the whole situation here since this is a very brief FML post, but maybe there is more to this story, maybe not. Does the dad/uncle, either of them, know the truth? Best of luck to you, OP. Hopefully you will get more answers soon. Maybe your mom isn't a backstabbing ****, or maybe she is. Get to the bottom of it, but your family is your family. Focus on who raised you and who was there for you the most. Good luck!!

Why does everyone assume the mother cheated? A lot of people are sperm donors, or surrogates, for their family members who might not be able to have children. Or OP's dad may have adopted OP when his brother couldn't handle a child.

True, #44. However, I think that given the way the fml is written, chances are the op's intent was to lead us to believe that mom cheated.

Or maybe the mother possibly never even married.

#68 Not necessarily. It's likely even if a donor was the case the child would still take issue with it and not understand the process made to reach the donor decision. Emotion could be in the way of reason.

I didn't realize someone had to be married for there to be cheating. I just thought a committed relationship was enough. Silly me! ;P

How in the **** does that go unnoticed?? And for how long? Lol. Need details op.

The exact same thing happened to me. For 13 years if my life I thought one man was my biological father until DNA tests showed he was actually my uncle. I thought I was the only one this has happened to.
