I hope there is a valid reason for this happening. But while it is weird to know the truth, and you might be hurt, your father is the one who raised you. For you to be on FML, I would assume you are 15+. What happened all those years ago might have seemed valid and real for them in the moment. She is your mom, your Dad is your dad, they raised you (hopefully right). Try to be understanding, talk about it rationally, then make your choices.
