Today, I found out that my neighbors took it upon themselves to knock down the fence we shared, and putting up a new one. Thus fencing my pool into their yard. When I asked them why, he replied, "We thought you weren't coming back." I was gone for 4 months tending to my sister with breast cancer. FML

They... essentially stole your pool...? This is just bizarre. In what universe would anyone, from any walk of life, think this is okay?

Um, maybe you should take them to court if attempts to resolve this don't go over well. They can't just move the boundary of their property. They have to have a bunch of stuff to do that. And since you never consented to it, there is no way they could have legally done so. FYL OP.

Sue them for trespassing, destruction of property and being dumb beyond belief. That should teach them something.

It's all about you, isn't it? You're so selfish -- you lost a pool, wah, wah, wah! Your sister lost her ****! ****! Everyone loves **** and your poor sister lost hers! Get some perspective.

Wow. You have got to be kidding me. This person went to help their sister to come back and discover that their neighbors had done something so idiotic as to literally steal his pool. Maybe you should think about the fact that when you are taking care of someone with breast cancer for four months seeing then in that pain and struggling like that, then they come home expecting to have some peace to discover their neighbors having done something that stupid that they have to deal with now, you might be feeling pretty crappy. Have pitty on this person and seriously don't start calling them selfish when they gave up four months of their life to help their sister. Get some perspective dude.

93 - you don't know perdix I take it? - always joking around. Granted this time people were going to take the comment seriously given the severity of op's situation. OP, your neighbors are completely in the wrong. Even if you had never come back and sold the house, didn't they figure they'd get in trouble when the real estate agent would come by and notice the pool "missing" from the property? That piece of property has to have been listed somewhere in the city plans or in their own records as having a pool. They're really idiotic. I hope you get it all fixed and back to normal. And I hope your sister gets better.

Well done! You can now officially call yourself the internets biggest asshole! 'hands pile of shit'

The OP spent four months of his time helping his sister recover. He went home, only to discover that his nighbors stole his pool. A pool's not cheep, rather expensive accualy...I own a 20' by 40' pool. It cost $20,000... It was a cheeper model. How about you buy a pool and have it installed in your yard, leave for a few months, and come back to a fence claiming half your yard and your pool that your neighbors put up.

I like how you're the only person who brought up his/her sister. (:

30 ydi's??? How the **** does the op deserve his neighbors stealing his property while helping his/her sister who has breast cancer?? i hate humanity sometimes, I really do.

****, that was for perdix, not you ******* PHONE
