Today, I found out that the huge project I've been working on for the past week is actually a group project. Everyone in my group knew. They were just letting me do the entire thing by myself because I'm "smart". FML

Today, I finished a 6-part project. It took me 7 hours of straight work because my partner decided I should do it alone. I then learned that the reason my partner did not help me was because the teacher e-mailed the leader of every group, saying the project was cancelled. FML

Today, I finished a huge project for work. It took 3+ days and I was very proud of it. Except when I submitted it to my boss, he said that he'd already asked another person to do it. He used that person's project, not mine. FML

Today, my class had a group project. The teacher allowed people to opt to do it alone. I, an introvert with crippling social anxiety, was the only one to do it alone. I still finished before everyone else, with an A. The other students called me a "freak" and many other names, simply because I work better alone. FML

Today, I had a great idea for a group project at work, so I shared it with my team and my supervisor. They seemed to like it very much, except one guy in our group, who outranks me and who threw a massive temper tantrum because, “I didn't consult him first before sharing it.” This big baby makes 3 times my income. Today, I was assigned to a group of four to brainstorm ideas for a project. One by one they listed their ideas, but when it was my turn they skipped me. They suddenly started a casual conversation with each other, oblivious of my existence, while I sat quietly between them for an hour. FML

Today, after working like a caffeine-fuelled thunderstorm for 9 hours straight on an art project, my 2 friends informed me that it was due next week. I slept for 10 hours, and then went to my class without my project, thinking I lucked out in the long run. Clearly not, as it was due today. FML

OP was probably away, and was told about the project by a classmate. At my school, you're expected to know about homework that you've missed from being absent via classmates. Their school could have the same policy.

I would a hit by doing poorly for them to learn a lesson but still they should do something aside from putting their names on it... Perhaps assign specific parts to each of them next time this arises

Definitely tell the teacher OP! It'll be worth it and it's only fair. I once partnered with my friend for a project, but he basically surfed the web for new social media websites during the time we were supposed to be researching together. Weeks went by without any input from him no matter how much I urged him to participate. Finally, I just redid the entire project MY way the weekend before it was due, and informed the teacher of what had happened. The teacher thanked me for being honest and gave me all the credit. In the end, even my friend manned up and thanked me for standing up and being honest even though his grade suffered greatly.
