You CAN: If you delete songs off your itunes then when you try to sync your iPod to it, it will ask if you want to put them back.
this happened to me once but it was OVER 9000 songs

I never said Apple doesn't **** up, of course they do their stuff breaks all the time. I am just saying I work on this kind of stuff for a living and I hardly ever hear of this happening.
He could have ripped em from CDs, or downloaded them off the internet.
