Today, I got a new computer because my old one crashed, deleting all music, photos, and documents. I still had all my music on my iPod though, and went to sync it to the new computer. By accident, my younger brother pulled the cord out before it was done, deleting all 3,000 songs forever. FML

through the apple store you can re-download your purchases up to 3 times. there's how-to's all over the internet, good luck!!

invest in an external hard drive for backing your stuff up.

i'd die without my music. seriously. same thing actually happened to me once, except i was in third grade, i had all of like 17 songs, and i had no idea what was going on. but 3000 songs lost!? ...not to mention the pictures and documents. fyl.

Ipod can also be used as a 'storage' device when plugged in. Meaning you open up the device folder (not through itunes) and drag and drop onto your computer.

u wanna know why this fml is fake because I've done the same thing it doesn't delete anything

...and this is why real music lovers BUY their music, on tangible objects like CDs and vinyl.

Yes because those can never get scratched or stolen or damaged in anyway.

Ouch I feel for your pain eesh. Words cannot describe how much that sucks even if you downloaded a lot of them which I hope you didn't since good music deserves support. Ouch. Looking at this FML is like a guy watching another guy getting his balls squished. I just can't stop wincing

this is why i have backup. 99% of my songs come from frostwire so if the itunes gets deleted, i have them in frostwire :)))

You cannot 'sync' from an iPod to a computer. It requires hacking. Fake. Also, YDI for not getting a Mac.
