Today, I got a sunburn all over my stomach from a tanning bed. In an attempt to relieve the itching, I looked up natural treatments since we have no aloe. After trying yogurt, milk and mayo I found out that our water was shut off so the shower could be fixed. I now reek of mayo and milk. FML

YDI. Tanning is stupid. Seriously. Do you want skin cancer?

YDI for artificial tanning. It's worse for you than natural sunlight. And how can lying in a bed for two minutes beat walking outside? Ever? Also, even if Mayo were a remedy...why would you put it on your body????? EW.

Well to be honest this is quite ironic you try to use natural means to cure something you got from a tanning bed. If you were that bothered about being enviromentally friendly or being natural then why the hell would you use a tanning bed in the first place?

YDI. If you want to tan that's your problem. But you'll be better off doing it the regular way, just saying.

hmm...paying for tanning rather than your water bill? YDI for lack of common sense.

Who said she didn't pay for her water bill? It says, "I found out that our water was shut off so the shower could be fixed." If she lacks common sense, then you obviously lack the ability to read.

Her water wasn't shut off for non-payment, it was shut off so the shower could be fixed. But she still deserves it for tanning.

YDI for getting an artificial tan. It's summer. Go outside in the sunshine. And YDI for thinking mayo's for anything else except a sandwich.

Next time, just use white vinegar. It's clean, antibacterial, and the smell goes away as it dries. The reason Mayo works is because it's made out of eggs and VINEGAR. It's not the eggs that take away the burn. Anyway, YDI for using a tanning bed. Srsly - who on EARTH isn't aware of the risk of skin cancer?

Go outside to tan. Tanning beds usually = orange tans (if used too frequently).

You DO deserve it for ignoring all the warning that tanning is horrible for your skin. Tanning beds are worse than the sun.

Honestly, I would have to say that aloe is a little more natural than mayonaise, considering aloe is from a plant, and who the hell knows what's in mayonaise!

Plus, why wouldn't you just go to the drug store and buy aloe?

Who knows what's in mayo?? How about... anyone that can read a recipe book or Google! So anyone that's not a douche.

Ever hear of just waiting out the sunburn? I got burned on Thursday and it's all better now.

If you put aloe on it, it helps reduce the chance of peeling and makes you heal faster. I don't know about mayo.
