that sucks. but you're doing a very good thing:)
I would've felt bad for you if you hadn't capitalised "volunteered" or put "*" in there. However, as a, quote, "VOLUNTEER", you should know that you're expected to be a bit versatile because they already have specific people doing specific jobs, and they'll have to move you about to get work done.
Your volunteering to help people, wether those people are the doctors and nurses, the secretaries, or the patients. Be happy your still helping at all.
i volunteer at the hospital and i have to file as well. stop whining. when you volunteer you are doing what they feel is most needed and useful for you to do. Dont be so selfish
Probably a reason for that
Just because you're a volunteer doesn't mean you get to pick your job. Ask whether there was a reason for the reassignment and if you can get back to working with patients. If you can't and it bothers you, quit.
Then stop volunteering?
Mabey the reason why she volunteered is because of the patients
Keywords
I'm suprised you actually had time with patients. Usually the volunteers are strictly paperwork and receptionists.
Maybe they don't like how you work with the patients. You should ask for an explanation of why they moved you. But look on the bright side - at least you're making the same amount of money. You're still volunteering and doing good work, it's just different good work.
