Oh wow, reading this sure brought back some memories, a few years ago i decided to get highlights in my my, after the lady put the dye in my hair and whatever she let me go under a dryer and as i was sitting there i noticed it burning so i said something to her, she had me get up and move and then rinsed out my hair and once my hair was all done my brother said what's that on your forehead? and the lady just said "oh, it's just a welt you'll be fine" i had a disgusting infected burn for a few weeks and still have the scar to this day..
They obviously weren't doing their job right. Every time I get my hair done, the girls tell me that if it hurts at all, I should tell them immediately. For her to just blow it off... She was using CHEMICALS not some kind of non-toxic paint you let your four year old play with. Never go back there again, possibly complain to her superior, and go to a doctor and get it checked out.
if you really got burned and arent exagerating, youre a fool if you dont file a claim against them.
That stylists a complete and utter moron. If u were screaming in pain wouldn't she realize her mistake?
Sue
if a professional injures you, you can sue them. esp if you complained during the appointment. i think you did. one of the rules for hairdressers is any chemicals should not hurt. otherwise it's done wrong and needs to stop. and if your story is like #113s and you are disfigured i'm pretty sure you can sue for even more. i wouldn't suggest suing for anything that i didn't know was negligent, and i know this is.
I assume the OP actually got talked into paying for her hair colouring... but on that note, all these people are instructing her to sue and some are saying it's worth it 'even if you jut get reimbursed'. What the hell is wrong with people? I'd heard that suing was popular in America but jesus christ, why on earth did you even pay that hairdresser? I would have refused to pay her and demanded she fix my hair. The unfortunate thing is that you have a wound on your scalp so what you could have done is gone to the doctor's and send them a bill. If they had refused to pay for it you approach the media; effectively ruining their salon's reputation and business prospects. If you paid the hairdresser after she butchered you that took away your power immediately. Bah. People need to toughen up so they are able to accost people who screw up on the job. Especially if the job they screwed up was on you.

OMG! You shouild sue the company!!!!!1
Were the foils actually hot or was it the chemicals they were using that burnt your scalp? This happened to me once when I got my hair straightened. They left the treatment on for too long and I ended up with a very sore scalp and red burn marks on the top of my forehead. Needless to say I didn't go back there again.
