Today, I got my period. 10 minutes into a 3 hour exam. Apparently they are serious when they say you may not leave the room under any circumstances. FML

It's implied that she told him her period just began b/c she mentioned the "no circumstances" issue

haha now they have to clean the blood off the chair cuz they decided to be a**holes. seriously, though, they should have let you out; i mean every time i told a teacher that i always got out of class...even the male teachers because i'd say it was that time of the month. if they don't get that i explain and then they go "eww just go" XD. course, i always start wearing a pad like the night before the expected day even though i never get my period on the exact day; just so i don't have to worry about it. i try to keep Aleve on me too. FYL you should've shown them the stain in your pants...they can't deny that. and btw, you can know when you get your period i ALWAYS know i feel leakage and i get cramps lol.

YDI for not being prepared or knowing your cycle.

I kinda agree, but its easier said than done! Some women are blessed with getting it to the very day that it should, every month. But for a lot of women it can vary. I'm speaking from experience.

Some people..don't have cycles. It can pretty much start any time, and changes like CRAZY. Happens to me..a lot. Luckily for me though, I get cramps 24 hours beforehand..which is painfully annoying, but a good warning. Not everyone actually has a cytcle that's true, and stress can totally mess it up.

i wouldve walked back to my seat waited five minutes then stand up and say "Excuse me good sir but may i please be excused so i can insert a tampon I am menstrating"

YDI, completely...you know your cycle and if you are on birth control then you know your cycle extremely well. You remind me of one of those ladies bitching about getting her period on her honey moon... i mean seriously, you have to have figured out that that comes roughly once per month right?

even on the pill it could come early......... i have prove of that today

Ugh your probably a man. I have ALWAYS been irregular. I cant even tell the minute before i get it. And if shes in school she may just be getting it and is still irregular. what the hell did you do? fall asleep during health class? moron. Anyways FYL OP i totaly understand:).

Who said she was on birth control? Some people don't have regular periods, making them nearly imposible to anticipate. As a matter of fact, it's actually NOT uncommon for people to have their period on an irregular schedule. Especially people easily susceptible to stress, which can make you skip periods altogether. Mine is once every 1-3 months whenever the hell my body feels like it, and I can't tell any more than a day in advance. I'm not on the pill either. So for a lot of people, it's NOT a once a month, especially not to the day. I bet the OP is either super regular so she didn't anticipate an early period, or so irregular it's impossible to predict. OP: FYL girl!

um actually no. mine is so irregular when im not on birth control i can skip up to 9 weeks. (lucky me yeah but not when youre wondering wth is going on). unless youre on birth control or have a flow on a strict schedule you dont always know exactly when its coming. even on my birth control last time it last 1.5 days longer than usual....=/

Ugh. Periods can come unexpectedly. They're not set on a dead schedule. Stop saying "YDI" to things of which you have no understanding, moron. Yes, there are warning signs and they usually do come around the same time of the month, but rarely the exact same day. It's hard to be prepared. I don't know anyone who wears protection BEFORE she gets her period. And the OP probably had some, but they wouldn't let her leave. OP, FYL. This happened to me at work once, so I know exactly how you feel. Except that I could get up and go to the bathroom :/

sexist some of them yes but women get it soo much easier on this they can just say that it's there time and 95% of the time u can go. And we men have to deal with your bullshit, bitching and your own sterotypicial sexist comments so quit bitching

holy shit if 7 is the normal then im uber lucky with a predictable 2-3 day one. oh and FYL!!!!!! that just sucks balls.

That's just screwed, i feel so sorry for you. I got a paper cut in the chemistry mid year and bled all over the paper and that was hard enough. Im guessing it was only a practice english paper as well?? I know they're supposed to be realistic but that's just a bit too far. If so the teacher who was running the exam should get grilled.

Mine used to be about 6 or 7 days, but now that I'm on the pill its only about 5.

ydi for not expecting it. I always hear my gf say sh can feel something happening before blood comes, tha and she keeps a calendar. like you should.

Yeah, there are warning signs sometimes. Doesn't mean you can tell exactly when it comes. Do you expect girls to wear tampons every second of their life? So until you get your period, don't discuss things of which you have no knowledge except for your girlfriend telling you she's cramping.

KayleeFrye 39

Nicely put, Witchcraft! Subjectzero: You must be some kind of expert on menstruation. I mean, there are millions upon millions of women in the world, and they MUST all be exactly like your girlfriend!

Oh, yes. We should have been aware that the world must revolve around him and his mistress.

#93, ALL WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT. JUST BECAUSE YOUR GF CAN FEEL IT DOESN'T MEAN THIS GIRL CAN. KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT BEFORE YOU TELL A GIRL HOW TO DEAL WITH HER PERIOD!!!

KayleeFrye 39

Also, "she can feel something happening?" Does she get a drumroll or something? Because that could be handy!

I keep a calendar, doesn't help a bit. It is IMPOSSIBLE to predict for some women, you just are like "shit. I got my period" it can happen ANYWHERE anytime. Mine started in an exam once..but..luckily i finished within 2 hours and left and it didn't exactly leak. But seriously, not everyone can "tell"

Lol, Kayleefrye. A drumroll would be nice! Except everyone could hear your period coming lol

KayleeFrye 39

OK, it might be an internal drum roll!

I wonder how an internal drumroll would feel? Probably a lot better than cramps :/

hahahahahhahaha i started cracking up at "drumroll"

Not everyone gets warning signs. I know I certainly don't and my timing can be irregular to a certain extent (mostly whether or not I am actually going to have one this month. And if you have no warning signs and an irregular schedule planning for it is a real pain.
