Today, I got rear-ended. In possibly the scariest part of downtown. At night. By a man who spoke hardly any English but managed to ask if I would go out dancing with him instead of calling my insurance company. FML

Silly guy, he already got to rear-end you, so what was the need to ask you out?

Maybe he thought "dancing" in english meant something else? "You want get in car? You want to dancing? Me dance very very good, you see!" You make the translation and see how it comes out... OP, that's weird and creepy. I'm sorry.

How does a dance make up for running into someone? I'm sorry OP. I hope your car isn't damaged or badly damaged.

I'm sure that he was not trying to make it up, also he probably had no intentions to hurt her but he must be so ugly that he can't get a date and after the crash that is the only thing he saw, an oportunity!

indeed that is ****** up and probably scary for a girl, but next time do yourself a favour and avoid those "dark and lonely" areas!

It's Minnesota. The 'scariest part of downtown' is not all that scary -- even in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Cry me a river.

both your comment and this post are extreme. downtown is safe. there are unsafe areas in both cities. did you grow up in the city? linden hills perhps? posting from burnsville maybe?

I really hate when men take any opportunity to ask a girl out. I mean seriously! Come on!

I had no idea there were scary parts of town in MN. Live and learn.
