You should have turned the tables around and asked to see the person's manager.

Finally! A situation where the customer is wrong! You should go to the store manager and demand an advance on your imaginary paycheck.

Did you cuss them out? I hope so.

Haha that's really funny were u fired from the before???

I was once sent from my job at a gas station to pick up light bulbs. While at the store I was looking at the light bulbs and I heard someone ask where the school supplies were. I didn't even consider that they might be asking me (since I couldn't even see the person). They repeated the question and I realized they were talking to me. I just turned around and told them I don't work there. If they started yelling at me I don't know what I'd do. Probably point to the gas station logo on my shirt.

Take this as a lesson: NEVER wear a red polo shirt to Target

#70 Ohoho! In some places you get morons who don't even know. I was wearing either all black or some kind of pajama-ish clothes in 2 instances where I was at 2 separate Targets; people asking me where a certain item was or if something was on sale. I was so confused. ;_;

I really wish that could happen too me. So I can tell them off

HaHaHaHaHaHa! Sorry OP but this is the funniest thing I have seen all day. Xxxx

Send a description of the incident to NotAlwaysRight.com -- they have a link on their page for sending them stuff. Lots of funny stupid-customer stories. This would fit right in.

I'd have threatened to call security and have them removed from the store.

This actually happened to me. I was shopping in a department store and another customer started screaming at me because she thought the slippers cost too much. I told her to tell someone who works here and she screamed for a manager. Some woman came running over to ask what the problem was. The woman pointed at me and screamed, "I want this mouthy bitch fired!" The manager explained that I was not an employee, I was another customer, and the woman screamed "LIARS!" at us and stormed out of the store. I still have no idea why she thought I was a sales person. I wasn't wearing a badge and I was carrying a purse.
