Today, I had a job interview with a person named Chris. The entire time I couldn't figure out if Chris was a man or woman. The interview went as good as it could have went. At the end I said, "Thank you very much sir." Wrong gender. FML

I think it is appropriate and accurate to assume that if a woman is cooking, that she is cooking for a man. I wouldn't even consider the fact that she may be cooking for herself, because if said woman has no man than she is essentially useless and really doesn't exist. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course.

Why not just say 'thank you very much'? Apparently you're just as good at guessing genders as you are with guessing verbs. '...as good as it could have went'?! Really, OP? Really?

Hey it's not THAT bad maybe she wants to look like a man and that made her day!!

If she corrected it, which she did, maybe not. I mean, Chris is generally a guys name, but I'm sure some girls have it too. I guess you really have to look around you and check, but if you can't determine it just wait until you're hired and then ask a coworker. ;]

I can understand that, most people are used to seeing Chris as a guy name. Well, it could be worse, right?

I knew somebody like that. Found out later the person was going through the hormone treatment phase of a sex change.
