Today, I had to suffer through a two-hour long trivia game with my boyfriend's family. As if that wasn't annoying enough, my boyfriend caused the pair of us to lose by just a single point, because he answered "Quebec" to the question of "What is the capital city of France?" FML

Nothing like a good trivia loss to ruin your entire day and week and lifetime and also your next reincarnation.

He was a bit right. Quebec is connected with France

Are you retarded? Quebec is a city in the province of Quebec in the country of Canada. How is it connected with France?

Jesus 37, that's like saying the USA is still a British colony.

Not really. He's saying Quebec and France are connected, not that Quebec is part of France. There is a connection between the two, just as there is a connection between the U.S. and England. Now, I don't think this connection makes the answer of Quebec as the capital of France any more correct, but I can understand where 37 got his reasoning from.

Well, Quebec was at one point known as 'Nouvelle France', so there is a point there. France ceded control to the English, and we've been part of the Commonwealth ever since. So technically even though we speak French, we're more British than French, we have the Queen on our money.

Stereotypical elitist. Stupid individuals are capable of being raised anywhere.

Any ethnicity can be lazy and ignorant. That's all stupidity is.

Another geography illiterate FML post. Don't you know that Montreal is the capital of France?

Awesome I've always wanted to go to France, who knew I lived there.

#81 - and you don't even have to get a passport, or suffer from jet lag, to go to France. C'est magnifique!

Can't resist the golden opportunity to crack a joke in French: "et ils ont même pas ri ? ". Sorry, guys, it just feels too good. ;)

okay, no sweat; That's: "and didn't they even laugh?" , which is a lame pun on "Paris" and "pas ri"( "rire" is to laugh). Somehow it does not sound very funny, now.

Wow you think this is a FML? I'm sure you knew every answer to every question?

At least you have a boyfriend. Some of us are desperately lonely and single
