Today, I have to wear earplugs in my own apartment because my neighbor won't turn down his music. My landlord doesn't believe me because "people with disabilities can't be rude." FML

Stereotypes are the most annoying thing in LIFE.

People with disabilities are the same as people without it. Just because they became disabled at some point in their lives, it doesn't mean they became angels descended from Heaven.

When you are ready to move, put your stereo on repeat, crank it and leave for a long weekend :) Revenge is a dish best served cold as the Klingon proverb says. Otherwise, record them and play it back for the landlord; or invite them to hear for themselves. If they can't hear over the phone... explain why after moving out of range :)

I know how you feel. My next door neighbour is a total bitch. She always has these people visiting her in the middle of the night—high beams shining through the window, revving the motor on their frigging four wheel drive, slamming the doors and talking loudly. When we tried to confront her, she started yelling at us and calling us 'putana' (idk if I spelled that right). And during the day, she always leaves her wooden door wide open, so when she sings loudly to herself all day and plays her awful music at high volume, everyone can hear it. It's ridiculous, because it's Department of Housing (government housing) and we can't understand we they won't kick her out, because on top of all this, she always spends half the year in Chille of wherever, leaving the unit empty and unused, when there are thousands of homeless people who need (and deserve) it more than she does.

Your landlord is scared to do or say anything because of the Americans With Disabilities Act.

Cascada him out of the building? Might not work, that song's the best.

There is a free app that snapshots your location, date, time, and measures the decibel level. Decibel 10th. It'll be hard for the landlord and the neighbor to refute the evidence.

Tell your neighbor to turn his music the **** down. Record his subsequent cussing you out. Use the taped message to prove to your landlord that disabled people can be rude. Get your landlord to request he turn the music down. Problem solved!

People with chronic stupidity can't be a landlords...you should say but i believe you value your apartment. I recommend buying a camera and start recording when music starts and go up right at his door and record all the way. Show it actually came out of his apartment. You know, so your landlord can't say "it could be anyone playing music". It may be troublesome but at least it is effective.
