Today, I joined a dating website and spent all day filling out and improving my profile. My first match is a guy who relentlessly tried to date me for all 4 years of high school. Now he just has more reasons to tell me how much we're meant to be. We're a 97% match. FML

why don't you just give him a chance? at least get to know him if you haven't yet.

You're lonely enough to join a dating website; no one is below your standards now. The only lower you could possibly sink now is a Craigslist personal.

Maybe that's a sign to give the poor dude a chance?

Just give the guy a flippin chance for cryin out loud. What have you got to lose? Who knows something might come of it.

I'm sorry, but he could be labeled as ~mild stalker~. If your hesitant and he's clingy, there's no way it could work.

Perfect match? That's bullshit. Knowing that you're a "perfect match" just leads to unrealistic expectations, which puts pressure on the relationship and thus suffering once those are not met. Stay away from that guy for a while and give him a fair chance to get over it and find someone else. And start looking for people in real life, I suppose? :P

well if you're desperate enough to use a dating website, I think you can handle a date with a guy you ALREADY know. (no offence to those who use dating websites. you're cool, she's shallow)
