Today, I joined a dating website and spent all day filling out and improving my profile. My first match is a guy who relentlessly tried to date me for all 4 years of high school. Now he just has more reasons to tell me how much we're meant to be. We're a 97% match. FML

why don't you just give him a chance? at least get to know him if you haven't yet.

You're lonely enough to join a dating website; no one is below your standards now. The only lower you could possibly sink now is a Craigslist personal.

Hey #98, it's a joke. A pretty obvious one. Welcome to the internet.

thats what you get for being a wierd single bitch. all single women are BIG wierd bitches who probably ********** with ****** every night. except the ones that like ME of course : )

Your life is not F-ed. Wake up and realize this guy is obviously right for you, or at least worth giving a chance. I can see just not liking him at first, but when he keeps pursuing for 4 years, and then you realize he has almost everything right for you in a boyfriend you're still too stubborn to give him a chance then you're just being ridiculous. Sure a person is not obligated to like someone, but deciding the moment you meet them there's no possible way they could ever be more than a friend is just stupid. It sounds like he's a great guy but you're just too stubborn to see what's right in front of you. These stories in themselves prove that women truly are less intelligent than men, or at least the ones who have the friend zone created for the guys that like them.

If a guy is after the same girl for years, and doesn't lose interest, that should be worth something, don't you think?

Id give him a chance! I mean come on, if hes been after you this long he probably does really like you.. im sure you wont find another guy on that website who is as dedicated to trying to go out with you :)

i was "the relentless guy" in high school once. maybe you should quit being shallow and waiting for your prince charming and give the guy a ******* shot. there is no such thing as "soul mates" but there are close matches. put away your childish views on romance and be a real woman. who knows, he just might be a REAL MAN. i'm willing to bet on it.

Eh, give him a chance. BTW, nice to see someone else from Missouri! 65018!

If this girl would wake up she would have put this on My Life Is Great, because she would have finally realized her man is right there in front of her and now that she sees it they can be together.

I think it's a good sign that you might have been dating the wrong folks all this time. Least you can do is try to be open minded about it. A 97% match is a pretty strong indication he's a match, right? Give it a shot, it'll be a funny story to tell the grandkids one day. ;)
