Today, I learned that marriage isn't all roses and sunshine. Instead, it's digging an infected ingrown hair out of your husband's ass cheek because he can't reach it himself. FML

OP here! So, we're very open about our gross habits. We have no problem popping each others pimples and such. I was actually the one to point out the infection and asked if he wanted me to get it. I'm not grossed out by it, I simply found it funny that everyone always says what bliss being a newlywed is and here I am squeezing and digging and infected hair our of my husband!

At least you guys are comfortable around each other *shrug*

That's loyalty. He's lucky to have someone like you who is willing to help him like that.

There's always, idk, a professional, that is capable of doing it if you didn't really want to.

Unless they don't have insurance... Then it's expensive as crap.

That seems to be a personal issue. all I'm saying is that if you don't want to do it there is someone who will do it for the person with the issue. If you don't want to pay them for their service then don't complain.

That is true love. You'll be chuckling about it later. Roses and champagne are nice, but you can buy those anytime. You stepped up to the plate and showed your love. Priceless

that's true love! finding somebody you're so comfortable with seems rare these days!

honestly if you didn't consider that side before you got married then YDI :') you're each others best friends and life companions, if anyone can help him it's you and its nice to be comfortable around each other :) for the good the bad and the gross :P

I knew that was going to be a part of marraige, however I've never spoken to a married person that was like "omg last night Bob had the nastiest infection on his ass and I had to clean it out!"

That's the best type of relationship when you can be so open lol

yup! been there done that lol i read it and was like omg her too lol

I'm engaged, and this is the kind of relationship I have with my fiancé! I wouldn't have it any other way! he's cut off his thumb, and I had to Dr it until his scheduled surgery date, I've had to take car of and help Dr his when he had a bad staph infection (I was super careful!) I even help take care of his food when he got a bone infection from stepping on a nail!

my girlfriend is a nurse the second I get a pimple she over me like flies on shit trying to pop it

i feel you pain and lord forbid it be a painful one relentless lol

haha being a nurse I do the same thing, I think it's a nurse thing

My girlfriend is obsessed with popping pimples. It's gotten to the point that I get mad when she tries. She'll do it in public

She should go study to be a dermatologist and make money with it!

Thankfully I was blessed with great skin. I maybe have a blemish once a year. It's rare enough my family teases me relentlessly should one appear. Anyway, I thought it was bad to pop them.

Nah I'm a nurse and I find it disguising to pop pimples. Mainly because when I was growing up I was told it spread the acne by popping them. I never had acne, if I ever developed a pimple kids would tell me to pop it, i would use noxema on it and the next morning it would be gone.

Yup. Welcome to marriage. Last week my husband volunteered to pop a zit for me that had shown up directly under my armpit and was very irritated by my bra band. One day, your husband will do the same for you, and you'll be glad you're not going it alone!

Ah, I'll always remember the first time my husband said "Can you look and see what's going on here? My taint is really itchy."
