Today, I left my grandmother's burial to take a midterm. Earlier I e-mailed the professor to ask permission to take it later, and she flat out said "no." I left my grieving family, and traveled hours back to school. I went to class, only to discover that the prof decided to move the exam date. FML

your teacher is a serious asshole. js

Your professor deserves to get fired. What a piece of shit person with no sympathetic bone in her body.

Wow... She could have at least let you know, considering the circumstances. #9, she didn't ask for the date exam to be changed, she asked if SHE, as in only she, could take it at a later date... a totally reasonable request, considering what had just happened. There's something called compassion and decency as well as abiding by rules. Deaths in the family should be the one exception (okay well two, if you're in the hospital or something) that can exempt you from an exam to take later.

He is secretly in love with you. No but really take that stick up his ass and kick it up higher.

it's weird that 17 ppl think you deserved that

She deserved it because she actually left her grandmother's funeral to go. What a shitty granddaughter.

the grandmother would of wanted this person to get trough college

At lease the OP went to the funeral, and didn't just skip it completely.

Seriously. I think if one of my family members died and I failed an exam to go to their funeral, they would get pissed off and haunt my house. Even though it sucks that the OP had to leave, it's good that she was at least able to attend part of the funeral.

im sorry about ur passed away grandmother and im also sorry u have such a crappy professor....

what a bitch. i'm sorry about your grandmother and I hope you pass the exam.

I'm sorry about your grandmother. That teacher is a complete tool. Maybe you should tell the dean of the department what happened, because he may be cruel as a habit. All the students should've been informed that the exam date was changed, and especially you, since you had previously asked to take it later, due to a death in the family.

No #16 a "shitty" granddaughter wouldn't have even tried 2 attend any of the funeral, they would've said screw it I need 2 study. Honestly if I had 2 decide between staying for the entire funeral n missin mi exam or leavin a lil early 2 take an exam that could possibly determine wether I pass that class, I would be takin an exam. Because u don't have 2 attend a funeral 2 show ur love for that person. I'm sure their family will look back at that decision a lil later n be jus fine wit it. And OP I truly am srry 4 ur loss n ur proff. Sucks lol

Ok people the professor is a SHE! But anyways...I say you send her another e-mail: with a virus. Then send her a letter with anthrax! Buahahahahahahahahaha!!! Anyways, sorry about your grandmother R.I.P.

#16, you're a ****. Any decent grandmother would want their granddaughter to do their best in school, especially college, so that she could have a better future, regardless of the circumstances. You don't have to go to someone's funeral to grieve their death.

you shouldn't be throwing the word "****" around because you disagree with something someone says on the internet. grow the hell up.
