I think it's kind of hard to bring up the fact that someone is a sexual disappointment, so finding other outlets with imaginary people may seem better, but when the fantasy breaks (because the words get redundant or your boyfriend finds out and really dumps you) it's going to suck infinitely more. The only thing I can really suggest is...if he's not passionate enough, tease him senseless (feminine wiles are always in your favour) and then relent to his advances. He'll love everything about touching you then. If it's not varied enough, there are hundreds of thousands of books on hundreds of positions (you can't have tried them all). And if it's not romantic enough/there isn't enough foreplay, give him a day where you fulfill his sexual fantasies...and if he loves you or is worth anything as a boyfriend, I'm sure he'll offer you the same, and within that construct you have a pretty secure environment to tell him exactly what you want.
