Today, I met some guys from my dad's workplace. They told him what a pretty daughter he had, to which he responded, "Nah, it's just shit-loads of makeup." FML

Make a **** video of you with all the guys from his work. And during the video, look at the camera and say "look dad, no makeup!" He'll get the message.

Some people look crap no matter how much make-up they put on. If you can pull it off, then I say good for you. Rock on and all that stuff. And I wish my dad was employed, so yeah, your life's not that ******. I should have an FML on here. Except I'm not funny. *sigh*

Your dad has to maintain his status as the funny guy at work otherwise the guys will flush his head down the toilet.

if you apply more makeup than a clown YDI he maybe just be kidding

YDI for wearing a shitload of makeup. It's repulsive.

It's probably a joke. Be happy they complimented you.

there is a girl at my school who wears a ton of makeup, and she looks ok. but if she takes it off, she looks like the undead. so yeah, makeup can make you look pretty. YDI for not thinking that.

lay off the make-up. 1. it ruins your skin, so by the time you're in your mid twenties(if you've been wearing it from a young age) your skin will be so ******* horrible you'd want to cry everytime you take it off. just look at pics of celebs without make-up on and then with it on. does a whole lotta difference. 2. it makes you look so horrendously fake people don't wanna date you. 3. this ties in with 2, you spend so much money on it, just like you do with smoking, you end up getting money off people to pay for it, and in the end people wouldn't wanna date you. 4. this also ties in with 2, you spend FAAAAAAAAAAAAAR too long putting it on!! I know people that need TWO HOURS to do their make-up to even go to school! And then, they redo it 2hours after being at school, then an hour after that, and then again after school. I ask them why, they say "I want to look good." It's school for ***** sake. You're not gonna find the guy you're gonna marry at school. Specially when you're 8!(Yes, they are wearing it that young now. It's horrific truth. Parents don't care.) 5. Foundation.. Oh god. it either makes you look TOO pale, or makes you look orange. Orange aint sexy I'm telling you that. I have SO many guy friends, and I've asked them if they'd date a girl that puts so much foundation on they go orange, they've all said no because they prefer natural girls, not girls caked in make-up(it's worked for me. i never ever ever wear make-up apart from lipgloss or lipstick if its a very special occasion, coz it doesn't ruin your lips. my eyelashes are naturally an inch long if you flatten them down and they're dark. (i thank my dad for that)) 6. Just don't do it.

If you wash it off nightly, your skin will be fine, especially if you use natural cosmetics. It can also be applied in ways that don't look caked on and horrible. And if you're not putting it on with a spatula, it actually only takes 5 minutes. And not everyone has one inch eyelashes - some people need mascara. Not to mention the fact that a lot of the "natural" girls a guy wants are actually wearing make-up - they just applied it the right way so you can't really tell. As far as her dad's comment, maybe he's just referring to the fact that she uses cover-up and is less pretty with her zits showing, or maybe he just wanted to put the kibosh on anyone at work thinking his daughter is hot. I don't know about any of you, but it always creeped me out when my dad's middle-aged co-workers hit on me. Maybe he was trying to stop that.

to your #3, NO ONE buys soo much makeup that they go into debt and borrrow money to pay for it! get real. for cigs it makes sense because people develop addictions but no one is addicted to makeup and also, theres a thing called foundation thats the right color for your skin, thats not too pale OR to orange! i know shocking right?

Thank you #51! I love you! I'm almost 23 and I've been wearing make-up ever since I was 14 (granted, back then it just started out with a tad of face powder*lol*) and my skin doesn't look horrible at all, I look perfectly fine without make-up and my husband actually thinks I look prettier without it. But I just have fun using make-up and I like trying different eyeshadows and such. Some people on here would be surprised how much make-up you can wear while still looking natural. Looking natural does NOT equal not wearing make-up.

Mauskau, you're THIRTEEN. What do you think you know about make-up? Your friends probably look "pale" or "orange" because they're also THIRTEEN, and have no idea what they're doing. WIth time, you get better at it, and it actually can improve your appearance without making you look like some kind of clown. Geeze, people. Everything in moderation. Something tells me that a bit of mineral powder and some mascara isn't going to cause me to fall into debt, destroy my skin, ruin my chances of ever finding love.

1. If you knew ANYTHING about cosmetics, you would know that 99.9% of beauty suppliers make makeup that doesn't harm your skin. Many brands now are even GOOD for your skin! Mineral makeup not only protects your skin with natural SPF, but it has natural minerals that nourish your skin. Even if you are wearing normal makeup, it won't damage your skin if you wash your face, like #51 said. Do some research before you make general statements like that. 2. How does it make you look horrendously fake if you do it right? more people than you know wear makeup. What does this have to do with getting a date? Are you seriously saying that you wouldn't put on makeup before a date?! 3. If you are borrowing money from people to buy MAKEUP, you have bigger problems than liking makeup. That's called a disorder. 4. I have never heard of ANYONE spending 6 hours to put on makeup. 1/2 an hour for special occasions? yes. but seriously, what could possibly take 2 hours to put on? and then 2 hours to adjust later?! That makes no sense. 5. not all foundation turns you ghost white or orange. ¬¬ 6. um, I think I will.

The only reason make-up ruins skin is because people scrub at their face trying to take it off. I only wear mascara, but I let it wash off in the shower so I don't have to tear at my eyes trying to get it all off. I don't wear foundation. I've never been tan in my life. The rest of the comment was too long so I didn't read it. That was the only part I caught.

-_- it's your own fault. you should just stop putting on so much make-up. i mean you can do makeup but not alot cause it kinda looks like a barbie doll XD. oh and i agree with mauskau with 1# reason..do you wanna look like frikin AMY WHINE HOUSE?! XD
