This actually happens a lot. It is recommended that you put any GPS or cell phone mounts in the glovebox or some other concealed compartment when you leave your car. Thieves will often break in when they see one of those mounts because people often hide the GPS in the glovebox and leave the mount out.
haha... whats kinda sad... and slightly amusing (no offense at all) i sell gps, and i always tell people to take down their mounts, because people will break into your car if they think there is a chance of one being in there
Not an FML anyways, buy a new ******* mount
@97 its not about the mount that he lost..its about the thief breaking into a 1k window JUST TO STEAL SOMETHING LESS THAN 20 BUCKS...
what's up w/ all the fakes... who is modderating this shit
not really sure why anyone thinks it would be fake.. people break into cars for the GPS mounts because a lot of people just take the GPS itself and hide it in the glove compartment or middle console. if you don't want your car to get broken into you have to take the mount down too. i also learned this the hard way.. my car was broken into and only the mount was up.. and it was taken.

everyone knows a plastic mount is why you have to pay the $150 for the GPS system. GPS Unit = $150 Broken Window = $250 Stolen Plastic Mount = Priceless
Sure they would. Leaving the mount sitting there means you HAVE a GPS, and most people just put it in their center console or glovebox when they're not in the car, not their pocket. So the thief probably assumed there was a GPS unit, then got irritated when there wasn't and took the mount to be a dick.
