WTF is wrong with YOU?! Is it young? Yes, but who the hell are you to pass judgments on people just because of their age? For all you know they have been dating since they were 11. Just because YOU aren't ready for marriage doesn't mean other people aren't. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being married at 21.

why is everyone so surprised/shocked at someone being married at 21? Maybe he knocked her up, and did the right thing as a man and married her. I mean, getting married at 21 is certainly not nearly as controversial as marrying off your 15-16-17 year old daughters as was done in centuries past...

You don't even need to skip university. I'm married at 21 and am still taking classes. Why do some people act like marriage limits your life so ******* much? I still have loads of fun, am still furthering my career, and am probably a lot happier with my life than most single people I know. People really need to mind their own damn business.

It's because people often think of being married and having children as the same thing. It is not the same. Being young and married has different responsibilities than being young, married, and having children. If you're going through life with someone who loves you and can provide lots of emotional support, it's totally great and doesn't limit your opportunities in life, but rather, has the potential to enhance them. If you have kids though, you have to put them before you and it changes everything, so things like getting an education, establishing a career, and developing a nice, strong financial and emotionally mature base become harder and more complicated to attain. The kids! Hold off on the kids! They're forever!

there's nothing wrong with getting married young... love is love people at OP ... umm... I'm afraid of the dark too... I feel you. just yesterday my friend tried to scare me with that... she came over and said she was going to the bathroom but instead went to all over the house to look for the main power thingie and turned off all the lights... I called her name she didn't answer... she laughed when she found me crying. people are mean. FYL.
