only if you're an idiot.
No it doesn't. It modifies the software which allows the files to be edited to allow unsupported software to be installed.
You don't need a jailbroken iPod to get free music anyway. But I have had several iPod touches and iPhones jailbroken and have not had any problems at all.
Yep. You only need to jailbreak for cracking apps and tweaks. I've jailbroke all my iDevices ever since I got them, and no problems. iPod Touch 2 in September, 2009, iPod Touch 4 in October 2010, iPad in November 2010 and iPhone 4 in March 2011, all of them are still jailbroke with no problems at all.
it will eventually **** up the phone and software..I have a friend who kept tryin to get me to jailbreak my phone and I wouldn't do it..he jailbroke his..it got shut off three times before he just got a new phone. it was shut off for violating the contract and terms of use.
That's why you don't install stuff on 3G ;)
47 He obviously didn't know what he was doing then. And if you ever do have a problem with the phone you can ALWAYS restore it and if needed take it back to the apple store because once you restore it, they can't tell if you jailbroke it.
66 I have even heard of an iPod messing up so bad that you can't restore it. So obviously the chances of that happening are slim to none. There's probably a better chance of the battery blowing up.
drew is the one of the only few who know this.
If you don't even own an apple device then wtf are you arguing about what jailbreaking does to ones idevice. You dont own one so nothing in your arguments can be taken valid for there is no proof to verify your "facts" on what happens to jailbroken products.
as soon as i read the original comment i knew a shitload of jailbreaking guys would come and argue about ******* and not ******* up ur phonw/device. my bro jailbroke his ipod 2, no problems so far. he even restored it back (idk y) but then he jailbroke it again and its still good
although jailbreaking IS legal, it's just frowned upon.
I jailbroke my iPhone haven't had any problems yet.. probably because I know what the **** I am doing.. It's really not that complicated.
117- "sry but it's hard to deal with so much ignorance at once" You just failed hardcore, unless you were talking about yourself.
clarkie, jailbreaking means rooting. If you know anything about the Linux/UNIX operating system at all, you'd know that rooting means gaining complete control over the system. Just because you type "su" in the Terminal doesn't mean you're going to immediately **** something up, only idiots who doesn't know what they're doing can.
clarkie007: you are an idiot! FYL! you speak of things you know nothing about. you dont even have a iDevice to speak from experience. i have JB so many devices, not one did I have problems with. also, what they **** did you mean by "major damage because of the root"? Damn, you are an IDIOT! FAIL!
I jailbroke my 3G, performance improved at first, then it slowly went to the shitter, that and nothing was really polished (well, some of it was) and the springboard kept crashing unjailbroke it and continued with life
sorry to interrupt but what does any of this have to do w/ the FML
I really enjoyed this one....... cause I've did it before lol, on the bright side, now you will be able to get $100 worth of new songs to listen to :)
Done*
Now you need to go and buy a $100 gift card to make up for it!
I love that show
YDI for being dumb.
the truth hurts
Who buys music anymore?
Oh really?
haha! true story
Pirating is where it's at nowadays, nerd
Yes, you are very square.
I can tell from all of your comments on this page who loves abiding by all the rules like one of those goody goodies. Haven't you heard? Rules are meant to be broken!
It's to show support for your favourite artists, so that they'll be inspired to make more songs and stuff. I sometimes buy music if i really like the artist to show my support.
The decent people.
I have a job so I buy music...
your out numbered here, more ppl get music free off frostwire and programs like that than buy off iTunes
This is why I have my iTunes account set up to get purchases from iTunes gift cards only, no way in hell am I putting my credit card on there. YDI for not making sure that the card was fully redeemed.
same, I mark none in the payment section.
Keywords
Then activate the card.
Easy fix, sell the card for what it's worth, then use that money to pay off the account charges. You lose no money, and the card was made useful.
