Today, I was running to my car, slipped, and slammed my head on the car door. I started driving to the hospital because it was bleeding profusely and I was dizzy, I called my mom to tell her what had happened. She said I was grounded for "goofing off" and that she was "sick of my shit". FML

Today, while practicing my gymnastics routine on the uneven bars, I was so distracted by my teammates' conversation about a party later that I miscalculated my flip and smacked my head on a bar. Ten stitches and a concussion later, I was left alone in the hospital. FML

Today, I woke up in the hospital with a mild concussion, a sprained neck, and a broken shoulder. How did this happen? Earlier, I ran into the guy I used to bully all throughout school. Once his wife realized who I was, she piledrived me. FML

Today, our mom hit my brother's head hard against the wall. He was taken to the hospital with a head wound. He came home in the evening, and said that his mom told him to say that it was his sister who'd hit him with a ball. My brother had told me the story and I'd recorded it on a tape recorder. FML

Today, I ran up to my boyfriend to kiss him when he got home from work. I tripped and I fell on him, and he fell backwards. He ended up hitting his head on the sidewalk and had to get stitches. He also had a concussion. FML

My g-ma (at 78 yrs old) still, to this day, says "You're never too old to spank, but if you get too big, I'll pick up a 2x4 and make up the difference". True story. I'm assuming you probably a) did something incredibly idiotic for your mom to do something so drastic; b) made the mistake of telling her she needs to chill out; or c) your mom is crazy. You don't happen to be a red headed stepchild, do you? Just saying.

I'm pretty sure that if it were an abusive situation FML would be the last place someone would go to. Considering the sarcasm use in the OP. "the attacker... my mom" constitutes over exaggeration. Since the OP didn't give an explanation... the likely assumption is he obviously did something stupid like most teens. 10 bucks says no concussion or stitches. maybe bruises. think lifes hard now? 30 years ago teachers could discipline kids. Some kids these days should get there ass' liked from time to time. Maybe they wont be such shitheads. TLDR; YDI
