Today, I saw a man lying on the street. He seemed unconscious, so, being a nurse I went over and found he had choked. I removed the object from his throat and used CPR to revive him. My reward? A mouthful of vomit. FML

i think saving a life might be a reward

agree with everyone else. So you had to deal with an unappealing part of your job. I think it's worth it if it means saving someone's life.

Unless someone is in the medical field they will not understand why you did it. I did it too. It was gross and I had a horrible time with wretching for about 2 weeks. But I did the right thing. YOU did the right thing, and God will surely smile on you in the end. Which, my friend, is all that really matters.

he saved a mans life. that doesnt make him gay that makes him a hero, asshole.

kudos :) you saved someone's life and you have a story to tell!!!

What did you expect, a bouquet of roses and an award?

while that is totally gross and terrible in general... you just saved that dude's life. be happy.

If you're actually a nurse, you'd know that CPR procedure has changed, and rescue breathing isn't part of the protocol. So either you absolutely suck at your job (the real FML here) or you're making this up.
