I'm so sorry. To all the people saying the poster shouldn't have done that, most people I know get their dogs to kill bees or spiders if they're afraid. You never expect something like this to happen. Even if I know what a black widow looks like, I don't normally examine the spider before deciding what to do about it because they're pretty rare where I am but it could still happen. So lighten up, no one deserves to lose their dog.

That's terrible, I used to get my dogs to eat the bugs I didn't like too. This is a terrribleee circumstance. :( RIP dog.

i know people don't like when people do this BUT: this is a definite fake. i happen to have worked with insects at my previous job (including black widows) and nothing would have happened that fast. the dog would have fallen ill after about half a day to a day and the owner, if he/she had ANY common sense would take the dog to a vet or animal hospital, at which time the dog would have gotten an antidote. if this did happen and the OP neglected to do anything, resulting in the dog's death, then the OP should be extremely ashamed and realize he/she completely deserved it. however, since i doubt that many owners would be that neglecting, i'd say this is fake.

I don't even have black widow spiders in my country and i still wouldn't send in my dog to kill a BIG spider. Poor dog.
