Although I'm an arachnophobic too, I wouldn't send my dog(if I had one) after a spider. I ENJOY killing the buggers. Cut the person some slack, he/she was probably too freaked out to realize what type of spider it was & plus I'm sure they already feel crappy because their dog died. R.I.P. Doggie. Next time drown it with water AND add bleach. Insta-death. :)
Oh, that's awful! But I probably would have done the same, although... a black widow... I'd probably run out of the house screaming, but first locking the door I found the spider in so it couldn't follow me. xD
Wow that sucks so much, but i mean your an absolute idiot for doing that. Its a spider, grow some balls and just step on it.
That's sad. I just don't understand how you didn't know it was a black widow, though. They have a red hourglass on their black bodies. It's pretty distinctive, having seen [and caught] one before. Plus, I remember learning about them in elementary. Though, just to let you know, you probably wouldn't have died if it bit you. Yes, it is very poisonous and CAN kill you. But, with the anti-venom available at most hospitals and the size of your body in comparison to the amount of poison, you would have had enough time to get help. However, your dog is smaller in size. So his body couldn't handle the poison. And I won't comment on whether it was smart or not to get your dog to kill it. Everyone's different in how they respond to things they're afraid of. Btw, for future reference, avoid brown spiders with violins on their bellies. Those are brown recluses, and quite poisonous as well.
Aww that's so sad! Well, at least you didn't do it and it didn't bite you!
Congrats on killing your dog!
This is a real FML. Poor you and your dog. Don't you know what black widows look like? They are black with a red hourglass on them. But you better get your house checked, those things are lethal. What was it doing in your tub?
#32: Its 72 you moron... At least you're not dead...

Oiii, that's so terrible!! I'm sorry to hear that. ):
Wow. This is why you run water when the spider is in the bathtub. Poor dog.
