Today, I started my period. I am getting married tomorrow. So, not only am I going to be on my period for my wedding night and honeymoon, my best friend has to help me change my pad because my dress is so big. FML

that's why you go on birth control so that you can use it to safely delay or skip your period. it's part of wedding planning 101.

It likes to come at the worst possible moments. This is going to sound gross but, if you and your new husband want to do the deed, use a female condom. And hey, at least you know your bestfriend is a true friend!

um..you should have went on birth control so you could have skipped your period..and pads?? use a freakin tampon. this is all your fault LOL

Yeah, tampons are your best friend! That sucks, though =/

are you kidding me? regulate that shit. youire getting married.. go on birth control. and are you actually relying on a pad on your wedding? if you dont want to be a stained mess you have to use both a tampon and a pad

Okay, people who keep mentioning the tampons, just thought you might want to remember her bestfriend had to put the pad in; Imagine her putting the tampon in. Think logically guys. And, to the lady who didn't think about her period while planning her wedding, that's your fault. You have one hell of a best friend though.

Kinda late now, i guess, but get a mirena IUD :) they're 99.9% effective, they stay in for 5 years and after about a year most womens' periods stop completely - awesome.

should've been on birth control

I know some people have unpredictable periods, but usually most women can at least tell which week they're going to have it. Don't you keep a record of when you have it? Birth control FTW. You always know, to the day, when you're going to have your period.

okay. guys? If youre going to be completely idiotic, read ALL the comments. The pad/tampon issue has been covered. Its her choice. End of story. I would rather change my best friends pad that put in a new tampon. Although #176 was the smartest idea Ive seen. The BC issue has been covered. She didnt want it or couldnt do it. And you still freakin bleed on the pill. Sometimes its worse, and you cant count it as easily. honestly. stop sayin the same crap over and over. its been covered. and youre just making yourself look like an idiot,

hows about u deserve it because u scheduled ur wedding for a time u could potentially get ur period, and once again because u went so overboard on ur dress that u can't function. and third because u worry about stuff like that in the first place, why get married to somebody who is grossed out by a natural human process that he's gonna have to deal with, i'm a guy btw and not all of us are squeamish losers

#9 - Some people have such heavy periods (even while on birth control) that they leak through a super plus tampon AND a pad in less than an hour. THAT'S who wears pads after the age of 16. Consider yourself lucky it doesn't happen to you.
