Today, I started my period. I am getting married tomorrow. So, not only am I going to be on my period for my wedding night and honeymoon, my best friend has to help me change my pad because my dress is so big. FML

that's why you go on birth control so that you can use it to safely delay or skip your period. it's part of wedding planning 101.

It likes to come at the worst possible moments. This is going to sound gross but, if you and your new husband want to do the deed, use a female condom. And hey, at least you know your bestfriend is a true friend!

happened to me on valentines day and my 1 year anniversary. sometimes being a female sucks

I can't believe there are so many of you that don't mind sitting in your own mess (pads..obviously) I understand why she would wear one though, it would take a TRUE friend to insert a tampon haha. On the up side, sex in the bath/shower?

Periods are regulated so you deserved that one for setting your wedding date for the day you're supposed to get your period.

To the people that are saying she should use a tampon- If you were the bestfriend would you rather change her pad or shove a tampon up her vag? Think about it. + at #204 not all periods are regulated, dumbass. Good luck with the wedding, OP. It sucks you got your period but congrats anyways (:

Hey, just give him an extra special bj on your wedding night.

awww that blows. i hope you can work around it and still be all lovey. also to all you tampon enthusiasts, i still use pads! i don't like shoving weird shit in my vag. it's not juvenile.

This is why you plan your wedding around your period. sucks for you though.

All of you who say "why are you not on birthcontrol?' or "use a calendar when wedding planning" are either on crack or 13 years old. Seriously, when I read those dumbass comments I must assume that you started your own first period last week or that the only female person you know is your mom. Thank you #182! It's a little bit of bleeding. A slight inconvenience at the most, not the end of the world.

As much as that sucks... you can get medication to postpone your period in situations like this, if you plan ahead. I've done it when I was going on holiday. Unless you're just really irregular. In which case, ouch.
