Today, I stepped on the MacBook Air I purchased 4 days ago. The screen snapped in two, and I didn't buy insurance because I promised myself I would be "extra careful." $3500 well spent. FML

How can you step on your macbook if you are "extra carefull"??? Putting it on the floor, or maybe you did dance on the table?, isn't carefull at all!

Came here to say this. Seriously, it's horribly overpriced netbook. Not only that, a Macbook Air has break me written all over it.

you should have 2 weeks to change it without insurance since you bought it.

Thankfully AppleCare is retroactive. Go out and buy it now and you'll get the coverage. Then just take it in and they'll give you a new one.

I didn't take the time to look for a response to #116, and there very well may be...in fact I hope someone else noticed this. "If you need to update your OS, just use another computer". I can't tell for the life of me if this is a sarcastic post or not... seems to be a common theme here... if you need to run a disk or install some software, use another computer, if you need to update your OS, use another computer, if you need to listen to music, use another computer, if you need to burn a CD/DVD, use another computer, if you want to use a keyboard or mouse, use another computer, if you want to print something out, use another computer, if you want to watch a movie, use another computer, if you want to surf the web, use another computer, if you step on your crapintosh air, use another computer... does every macintrash owner have more than one laptop / desktop? i mean, for ****'s sake people, you already spent twice as much on half the computer you could have had for half the price, but you have to buy another laptop for twice the price that has the other half of the features a normal computer has just to have one fully functioning four times expensive of 2 half as good as one normally priced laptop? if you were able to follow that, you don't own a mac, and please, feel free to pat yourself on your back for not being stupid. if you didn't understand it, you are probably a mac owner, and please, try to touch your elbow to your nose

chill mike1921 i wasnt talking to you induvidually just everyone who was railing on macs. but you said i would be just as well with a pc for basic needs but i did used to have a pc which was the same price as a macbook pro and it sucked HARD.

He doesn't deserve it for buying a mac, he deserved it for leaving it on the floor.
