Today, I switched cell phone service providers, hoping to upgrade. After working out the details and picking a phone in the store, I got home to find my brand new cell can't get a signal in my house. I already signed the two year contract. FML

There's a 30 day trial period. You deserved this for not reading your contract! Return the phone and switch providers

call your service provider and ask them how to update your phone so you can hit more towers and get a stronger signal.

you have 30 days to go back and cancel the contract with any carrier so stop freaking out and do some research . Take it back

Most phone companies give you a 30 day opt-out period. Call them...when you have a signal :)

You have thirty days grace period...

If you just got it, you normally have 30 days to return it w/o a cancellation fee

Most carriers give three days to cancel the contract. Also, you can update your roaming by calling a certain number from your phone. Good luck.

Same thing happened to me, with 3 different providors, turns out it was the phone, not the providor. Get a blackberry, they aren't the best phone but reception is great. Most contracts also have a 14 day calcallation period

Most cell phone providers have a 30 no risk. You can go to the store and switch phones. And keep switching till you find one that works. If you can't get one to work within 30 days, you only pay for the month of service that you did use, contract is dropped,no penalty.

Of its Verizon too bad. Usually you have 14 business days to return it, cancel or change devices. Try calling the phone company. Euro75

i work for a phone company, most have a cancelation period a lot like a return at walmart. Look into it because the window is relatively small
