Today, I switched cell phone service providers, hoping to upgrade. After working out the details and picking a phone in the store, I got home to find my brand new cell can't get a signal in my house. I already signed the two year contract. FML

There's a 30 day trial period. You deserved this for not reading your contract! Return the phone and switch providers

call your service provider and ask them how to update your phone so you can hit more towers and get a stronger signal.

If your with sprint you can get the air rave system assuming you have a high speed Internet connection which will allow you to have voice over ip in your house utilizing your cell phone.

You have at least a 14 day return policy. Bring it back, and go back to your old provider.

hey op. first off you have a grace period with virtually any wireless provider in which to cancel your contract. secondly if you live in an area you don't get service all you have to do is get ahold of the provider and tell them you don't get service at home, they'll make you send them a bill proving your address, and once again you'll be off the hook

If u used ATT, ask about a micro cell. It's a mini cell tower in your house that runs through the Internet. I have one and get 4 bars all the time. Make them give it to you though since it was their screw up, not yours.

OP either switched to metro PCS, AT&T, or cricket mobile.... Yeah you are screwed either way. Verizon FTW :)

Not necessarily. One of the only reasons I use Sprint is because Verizon doesn't get signal in my house.

Really? I get service almost anywhere. My grandma lives in the middle of nowhere and when i visit her in the summer i get service when i stand on the back porch.

You can actually call in and get the contract cancelled within a month of starting it. No early deactivation fee either.

It was AT&T, wasn't it? I live in Oregon and have AT&T and I also barely get a signal at my house. It's such bullshit.

you have a 14 day grace period! Just return the phone before then and You can cancel your service!
