i agree with the parents i really dont see why people go out and spend a hundred pounds a head on a meal
Your parents are retarded, but stop complaining, at least you got something, right!
It doesn't ever clarify whether or not she ACTUALLY got something.
^^ I'm 87% sure the parents bought the TV for themselves.
I agree with the parents; it's stupid to me to ask for a dinner that would be way too expensive. It's their money, let them do what they want with it.
...Because a birthday dinner is equivalent in price to an un-needed third TV that costs $800? Where the **** do you eat where the meal costs the same as a TV?
Whoops, my bad.
a plasma for $800? thats unheard-of. Where is this deal? My plasma tv cost around 6000!
ugh i hate that! i have like 5 tvs and they get a flat screen for like $1200
Who the hell expects something like that for their birthday, especially at 18? I'm turning 18 in a couple weeks and I'm not getting anything, maybe a barbecue dinner at home if I'm lucky.
18 is the big birthday, all my mates had massive 18ths =/
I hope you're not serious...
HUGE plasma tv for $800 (assuming it's a not a cheap brand) is a much better deal than going to a fancy restaurant.
well now she can remember how much of an asshole her family was.

That's bull shit. Throw lasagna at them.
I'm gonna say FYL because I live in NJ and while it's hard to get to NY just for dinner, for a birthday that's a reasonable gift, so to say that's too expensive and then buy a brand new tv, that's just rude.
