Today, I took my girlfriend to meet my parents. My dad thought it'd be hilarious to act surprised and ask me if I'd already dumped the girlfriend I introduced him to yesterday. She slapped me and stormed out of the house before my dad could tell her it was a joke. FML

First of all, I can't stand girls who feel the need to slap people to make a point. For a generation raised with "time outs" because physical punishment just makes people think it's ok to hit, you sure are quick with your hands. Second, Princess needs to get over herself and get a sense of humor. Many, many years ago (I was 15), my first boyfriend's dad made a similar comment when we were introduced. My response was along the lines of "He likes me because I helped him hide the body". Everyone laughed, and no one got slapped.

Good joke. Bad outcome. Hopefully she realizes that he was joking and comes back. Although personally, I couldn't date someone without a sense of humor. Hopefully that isn't the case

Lot's of people don't take being cheated on as a joke well. That's pretty common knowledge by this point. I'm all for joking about almost anything, but you have 1 know your audience and be aware that certain jokes are generally not going to go over well.

Really a guy takes his girlfriend home to meet parents. It would seem they had been together at least one other time. She reacted awfully fast with a slap. Sounds like the girlfriend needs to grow up.
