Today, I tried to hold my new boyfriend's hand while on a date. He let go quickly though, letting me know that we aren't at "that stage" of the relationship yet. We've been having sex for two weeks now. FML

Hate to be THAT person on FML, but I would seriously consider leaving that relationship. If he's ******* you but can't be bothered to hold your hand in public, that's a bit of a red flag. Then again you could always talk to him, but this just seems a bit suspect to me. EDIT: And to the comments before me, using sex as a weapon is immature.

There used to be this thing called a "dating" stage where we would go out in public holding hands and kissing BEFORE we had sex.

You shouldn't be with him if he said that. It sounds like he's embarrassed of you.......and that's the last thing you need. But at the same time, it two me more than 2 years to get used to pda with my bf. He even asked if I was embarrassed of him, but he was my first bf and it was something new to get used to.

Don't mistake sex for love. They're two very different things.

Just leave him he's a tomboy only into sex

Won't hold your hand in public? That's a deal breaker!

Personally I believe holding hands is more intimate than having sex. Just something about it has always seemed so personal to me. Maybe I'm just weird though.
